I started sailing when I was 12 years old by chance when I went away to a summer camp. They had sailing as an activity so I decided to give it a try. I completly fell in love and have never stopped since.

The following summer, I started to take sailing lessons at PCYC, and have been there ever since!

I quickly joined the Opti race team, then the 420 race team and the 29er race team.

After sailing in these fleets of boat, I bought a Fireball and started to race competitively at the national and international level.

Throughout those years, I’ve had the privilege to finish 1st at the Canadian Championships in 2014, 2nd place at the North American Championships in 2013, 2nd place at the Ontario Provincials, 1st place at the Quebec Provincials, etc.

After a successful 5 years in the Fireball fleet, I made the jump and joined the Shark fleet this year.

I’ve been a member of PCYC since 2003.

I was involved with Junior Squadron and the Race Teams for 6 years at PCYC. 2 of which I was the 420 race coach and 3 of which I was the Head Instructor.

More recently, I have been the Chairman for the TRY Regatta for the past 3 years.

And finally, for the last 5 years, I have been on the Executive committee of PCYC as the Squadron and Race Team Director.

All this to say, I look forward to working with the great group of people at the FVQ, promoting the sport of sailing to our youth, and taking on the position of VP Elite!
