Montreal, March 11, 2015 - This year the annual March Break camp had 4 420 teams being coached by Quebec Sailing Teams Head Coach, Rosie Chapman. 6 Radials being coached by Jessica Lombard and 2 Optis being coached by Maxime Fecteau.
In the mornings, Head Coach Rosie ran fitness sessions on the beach, including a dynamic warm up to get the athletes moving!
The Radials and 420s trained for 8 days and the Optis 6.
The classes individually trained both out in the Gulf of Mexico and inside the pass. Conditions varied from the first day with 20 knots right down to 2 knots! The dolphins took the time to come and play with all the athletes.
Head Coach Rosie comments: " I am thrilled with the camp! Last year I had 3 radials in Clearwater, this year I had 16 athletes and three coaches! The enthusiasm, dedication, work ethic and talent was impressive and exciting. I eagerly look forward to the 2015 season. Next winter, I will be setting a higher goal for an even bigger increase of athletes to come and train over the winter. Congratulations to all of the 16 athletes and a big thank you to my supporting coaches. For now, we are waiting for the ice to melt so we can head back out."
