Montreal, May 15th, 2015 - This weekend, from May 16 to 18 the famous annual Ice Breaker Regatta will be held where several of the best Canadian sailors will be competing at the Toronto Sailing Club, in Humber Bay, including the Laser Radial, 49er, 49er Fx and 2.4mR! Several Quebec athletes in different boat classes will be in attendance to represent the province.
The annual Ice Breaker Regatta stands as the final round of Pan Am trials for the Snipe, J24, Lightning and Hobie 16. Several Olympic medalists will be here to get their qualifications for Panam. Among the many marine exceptions, our eyes will be mainly turned to Peter Hall, the only Quebec athlete from the victory list to qualify. With a long list of sailing accomplishments, Hall is striving to qualify and make his first Pan Am podium appearance since the 1987 Pan Am Games.
We invite you to follow this competition either on site or track the results via the event website.
Good luck to all the athletes!
