Montreal, August 4, 2015 – La Baie des Chaleurs is known as one of the most beautiful bays in the world and for good reason! It is on this beautiful water plan that gathered about fifty sailors for the 3rd edition of the Ecovoile Desjardins regatta on July 31st, August 1st and 2nd. For this weekend, Carleton-sur-Mer was the host of several sailing competitions. Participants from Montreal and Quebec City were able to enjoy the scenery, but also good weather, as the sun and the wind were present!

The classes represented for this 3rd edition were the Lasers / Radials and Optimists. Besides dinghy classes, Ecovoile regattas hosted the F18 class with a dozen catamarans marveling tourists visiting the region. Finally,11 keelboat crews took part in the competition of the Circuit Baie des Chaleurs.

In addition to the races, several events were held at the site, such as volleyball, zumba or even painting on sails. The evenings were also lively, with excellent catering service for the benefit of the club and many organized activities.

Thank you to our sponsor Helly Hansen for providing prizes for the winners of this portion of Quebec Circuit.

Congratulations to all participants and the organization!
