Montreal, December 21, 2015 - From December 27th to January 3rd,the 2015 ISAF Youth Worlds will take place in Langkawi, Malaysia. Coralie Vittecoq, who sails in the Laser Radial fleet, will be the only Quebec athlete to represent the country.

At 18 years old, Coralie qualified for the Youth Worlds this summer during the 2015 Laser Youth Worlds, which was held in Kingston, Canada. She finished this competition in the 11th position overall and 1st Canadian girl. Due to this result, Coralie is the best junior athlete in Radial class in Canada. Last November, she was awarded the Young Athlete of the Year Trophy from the Quebec Sailing Federation

The Vittecoq family knows how to win medals. The athlete from the Hudson Yacht Club follows in the footsteps of her brother Justin Vittecoq who was at the 2014 Youth Olympic Games in China. We wish Coralie the same success.

More than 430 sailors are expected from around 80 countries. 9 different classes will be represented during the competition, Laser Radial M/F, 29er M/F,, RS:X M/F, 420 M/F and SL16 Open. This Championship will welcome a record number of Laser Radial athletes. The fleet features a number of Nanjing 2014 Youth Olympians, medalists from the 2015 Laser Radial Youth Worlds and some athletes from the 2014 ISAF Youth Worlds. With this fleet, we can expect a great competition where the level will be high.

Good luck to Coralie and all the Canadian Team.
